Trending/Cheaper Alternatives: Baroque

So, baroque has been a huge trend this season, with it having popped up on the runways of Balmain, Lanvin but mostly Dolce & Gabbana. Here are some pictures of the baroque beuties on the Dolce & Gabbana A/W 12 show:

The last two dresses were by Dolce & Gabbana and are available from net-a-porter here for a very hefty sum of money. Seeing as most people cant afford these beautiful dresses, here are some cheaper alternatives:

Embellished black dress - River Island - £120 HERE

Cream black dress - River Island - £120 HERE

Jumper with Baroque Embellishments - Asos - £75 HERE

Rare Metallic Jaquard Skater Skirt - Asos - £39 HERE

Dolly Dress in Baroque Print - Asos - £75 HERE

If you're not keen on the whole 'gold swirls' theme, then you can try other clothes in the baroque trend; For example, a cherub or 16th century painting printed blouse, or, classically shaped dresses just without excess beads. Try this for the painting print: It looks really cute with a plain white blouse and you can wear it in practically any situation, casual or semi-formal:

Call of Napoleon Leggings - BlackMilk - £48 HERE
